Day 01. ARRIVAL IN MAKASSAR / DRIVE TO SENGKANG (L,D)
Upon arrival at Hasanuddin Airport Makassar, you will be picked up by Tour Guide. Than drive to Sengkang via Soppeng. On the way, we will visit Bantimurung waterfall which also famous for its colorful butterflies. Lunch en-route. In the afternoon we will have a boat trip at the Lake Tempe where we will explore the daily life of local bugis fishermen who do live on the floating houses while enjoy the beautiful sunset over the lake. Dinner and overnight at a simple accommodation in Sengkang.
Day 02. SENGKANG – TORAJA (B,L,D)
After breakfast, we will visit the weaving center where we can see women hand spin and weave traditional bugis Sutra sarong. Than depart for Tana Toraja via Palopo with many spectacular views along the road. Lunch en-route. In the afternoon arrive in Rantepao. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
Day 03. TORAJA FULL DAY TOUR (B,L,D)
After breakfast, we will have a full day tour of Toraja. First we will visit Lemo where we can find the high stone graves with its rows of Tau-Tau. Than to Londa, an ancient grave where the deceased are entombed. Afterwards, we will visit Kete Kesu the traditional Torajan village where we can find Tongkonan houses and rice-barns. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Rantepao. After lunch we will take you to Batutumonga a high mountain resort, well known for its spectacular views where we can see Rantepao city and surround. Late in the afternoon back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 04. TORAJA FULL DAY TOUR (B,L,D)
After breakfast, we will take you on another full day tour around Tana Toraja. Today we will take you to mountain Mattiro Tasik where we can explore fantastic views from the high distance. If we are lucky (if weather possible) we can see Palopo areas and the seashore. Lunch will be served on the spot. In the afternoon, we will visit Marante and Nanggala famous for its large Tongkonan and old rice-barns. Back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 05. TORAJA – MAKASSAR / TRANSFER OUT (B,L,D)
After breakfast, drive back to Makassar. Stop on Bambapuang for having coffee break and enjoy the spectacular view of mount Buttukabobong, also famous as Gunung Nona. Lunch will be served at a seafood restaurant in Pare-Pare. Onwards transfer directly to Hasanuddin Airport Makassar to catch your flight for your next destination. End of tour.
